YOUR STORY MATTERSLet’s talk about your neuropathy.
You deserve time to tell your story, ask questions, and understand your options.
Serving Somerville and welcoming patients from Greater Boston and the North Shore.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?It’s more than discomfort in your feet.
Patients often tell Dr. Cordima: “My feet feel like they’re asleep.” “It’s like walking on pins and needles.”
- Burning, shooting, or electric-like pain
- Numbness or reduced feeling in your feet or hands
- Tingling or a pins-and-needles sensation
- Discomfort that interrupts sleep
- Feeling unsteady when you walk
- Sensitivity that makes everyday activities uncomfortable
Perhaps you’ve been told you have diabetic neuropathy, symptoms after chemotherapy, or neuropathy with no known cause. Or you’re still looking for answers. Your history and examination help guide the next step.
OUR APPROACH & YOUR FIRST VISITLess pain. More confidence. Clear next steps.
Your goals come first: sleeping more comfortably, enjoying a walk, or feeling steadier on your feet. Your first visit helps us understand your symptoms and whether care here may be right for you.
01Understand your symptoms
Dr. Cordima asks where numbness or burning began, how it is changing, and about your health history—including diabetes, available B12 and thyroid results, alcohol use, and chemotherapy. He tests sensation, reflexes, strength, and balance, and checks your low back. Digital X-rays may be considered when indicated as part of the spine evaluation.
02Review your findings and options
Dr. Cordima explains your findings, whether non-surgical care here may be appropriate, and the recommendations and costs before you decide. If another evaluation is needed, he’ll explain the next step.
03Build around your goals
Sleeping better, walking more comfortably, and feeling steadier on your feet are personal goals that help guide an appropriate care plan.
Bring any available test results and a list of care you’ve already tried. An evaluation does not commit you to a program.
YOUR FIRST STEPLet’s talk about getting you back to the life you miss.
Tell us what’s been bothering you, ask your questions, and get a clear understanding of your options.
Dr. Cordima will listen, evaluate your concerns, and explain whether care here may help—or recommend another next step.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR SYMPTOMSWhat is neuropathy keeping you from doing?
Find a starting point for your neuropathy evaluation.
Three quick questions about symptoms, daily life, and previous care. Select all that apply.
A starting point for a conversation, not a diagnosis. Can I come in if I have diabetic or chemotherapy-related neuropathy?
Yes. You can schedule an evaluation to discuss your history and symptoms, including neuropathy with no known cause. Your examination helps determine whether care here may be appropriate.
What if I have numbness without much pain?
You can still schedule an evaluation. Tell us about reduced feeling, tingling, balance concerns, or other changes, even if pain is not your main concern.
What if I have already tried other care?
Bring any available test results and tell us what you have tried, what helped, and what did not. We will review that history as part of your evaluation.
Can you promise pain relief or nerve recovery?
No. Not every patient is a candidate, and results vary. Dr. Cordima will discuss realistic expectations based on your history and examination.
Is the patient video live?
The patient video is a recorded educational introduction designed for watching on your schedule.
How do I book my visit?

Why do you check my low back when my feet feel numb or burn?
Nerve irritation at the spine can cause leg or foot symptoms that resemble neuropathy. Dr. Cordima considers your low back along with your symptom pattern, health history, and neurological examination to better understand what may be contributing and whether another medical evaluation is needed.
