ACCIDENT INJURY RESOURCE DIRECTORY

Different accidents. Clearer next steps.

Find the information that fits what happened to you, from a rear-end collision to an Uber trip, bicycle fall or transit incident.

Start with your situation—not a list of diagnoses.

After an accident, you may be wondering whether the stiffness will settle, what paperwork matters or which office to call. These resources help you prepare for an evaluation and understand the questions worth asking. They do not diagnose an injury, establish legal fault or guarantee insurance payment.

Our main auto injury page explains care at Cordima Chiropractic Center. The pages below go deeper into accident-specific details, records and coverage questions. We have one office, at 707 Broadway in Somerville, serving patients from Somerville, Medford, Cambridge and surrounding communities.

Explore by accident type.

Car, SUV & pickup accidents

Rear-end, side-impact, parking-lot or rollover crash? Start with what happened to you—not just what happened to the car.

Truck & delivery vehicle accidents

Whether you were in another car, walking or riding a bicycle, the first question is what care you need—not which company name was on the truck.

Uber & Lyft accidents

Passengers, other drivers and people outside the vehicle can have different questions. Your care starts with your symptoms; the claim starts with the actual trip details.

Motorcycle accidents

A rider’s injuries and insurance questions are different from those of someone inside a passenger car. We start by understanding what has already been checked.

Bicycle & e-bike accidents

Hit by a car, doored beside a parked vehicle or hurt in a solo fall? The event, the bike and your symptoms all deserve a careful look.

Scooter & moped accidents

A stand-up electric scooter, a seated moped and a mobility scooter are not interchangeable. Clear details help us direct your questions to the right place.

Pedestrian & mobility-device injuries

You do not have to be inside a car to need care after a traffic accident. Tell us what struck you, whether you fell and what has changed since then.

Taxi, bus & transit injuries

A collision is only one possibility. A sudden stop, a fall while boarding or an incident on a train can leave you unsure what to do next.

Where the smaller categories fit

Rear-end, T-bone, head-on, sideswipe, rollover, hit-and-run, uninsured-driver, parking-lot and low-speed incidents are covered in the car accident resource. SUVs, pickups and vans fit there too.

Uber and Lyft passengers can use the rideshare page. Bicycle and e-bike collisions, scooter and moped falls, and pedestrians struck by a vehicle or bicycle are addressed separately. Taxi, school-bus, MBTA, trolley, Green Line and commuter-rail incidents are grouped in the transit resource.

Symptoms to describe at an evaluation

Tell the clinician about neck and back pain, stiffness, headaches, pain near a seatbelt, or a painful shoulder or knee. Include tingling, numbness or weakness and when symptoms began. Words such as whiplash, strain, herniated disc or pinched nerve should follow an appropriate assessment, rather than be assumed from the accident alone.

If you already have a diagnosis or imaging report, bring it. Describe what is different from your usual health and what daily activities are harder. A brief symptom timeline and the instructions from your first medical visit can help us understand the next step.

When not to wait for an office appointment

After a head injury, a worsening headache, repeated vomiting, seizure, confusion, unusual drowsiness, new weakness or loss of consciousness needs emergency evaluation. Call 911 for an emergency. Severe trauma, trouble breathing or chest pain also needs prompt medical attention. This office is not an emergency department.

Your questions, answered.

Do I need to choose the exact accident category before calling?

No. Tell our team what happened, your symptoms and whether you were working. These resources help organize your questions; your examination determines whether care here is appropriate.

Does this directory mean you treat every injury listed?

No. These are educational resources about evaluation and next steps. Some injuries require emergency care, specialist care or another provider. We do not accept workers’ compensation or work-related injury claims.

YOUR SOMERVILLE OFFICE

Clear findings. A personal next step.

Dr. Christopher Cordima, DC, BCN, has been practicing since 1988 and is Board Certified in Chronic Intractable Pain & Neuropathy. Your visit begins with your history and an examination. Depending on your findings, that may include neurological testing and a review of whether imaging or another medical evaluation is needed.

If care here is appropriate, we explain the options and costs before you decide. We do not promise a particular result or recovery time. With your permission, our team can coordinate relevant records with your attorney.
